Which implications does the hype topic of "Industrie 4.0" and "Internet of Things" have for my company? Which technologies are needed to be competitive in the smart future? Get answers to these and many other questions by joining the consortial project «Facing the Smart Future: Smart Products, Production Processes & Services» conducted by KEX Knowledge Exchange and its renowed research team Fraunhofer IPT, FIR at RWTH Aachen, Demonstration Factory Aachen, TIME, PEM and WZL at RWTH Aachen. The projects will start on July 13th, 2017.
Vast quantities of data are generated daily and offer new potentials when collected, aggregated and analyzed for e.g. better decision making. But along come plenty of questions about how companies should cope with these new and challenging technologies. The project "Advanced Data Analytics for Smart Products, Production and Services" of KEX Knowledge Exchange and its research partners Fraunhofer IPT, FIR, WZL RWTH Aachen and Demonstration Factory starts on June 1st, 2017.
On May 18th and 19th, the Aachen Machine Tool Colloquium (AWK) will take place for the 29th time at the Eurogress Aachen. This year the guiding theme is “Internet of Production for agile enterprises”. Visit us at our stand or in the production engineering cluster at RWTH Aachen Campus Melaten!
Digitalization of production processes, including the integration of networking capabilities into production assets, is no longer just affecting the discrete manufacturing industries. Terms like »Internet of Things«, »Industrie 4.0«, »The Industrial Internet« or »Big Data« are just examples for the diversity of buzzwords that are used. But what do these buzzwords mean for companies in process manufacturing industries, particularly regarding their production processes, production technologies and value-added services? KEX Knowledge Exchange AG together with execon partners GmbH will find the answers in their consortium project »Facing the Smart Future: Digitalization in Process Manufacturing« starting on 10th of November 2016.
