Consortium Study: Industrialization of Fuel Cells

To develop efficient processes for producing fuel cells in an efficient industry-scale, KEX AG formed up a team with well-known Fraunhofer-Institute for Production Technology (IPT) and RWTH Aachen Werkzeugmaschinenlabor (WZL) at the RWTH Aachen Campus. Both institutes have comprehensive experience and competencies in production technology and deliver an ideal infrastructure for practical research of the production processes.

Launch of new consortium project "Building Blocks of Artificial Intelligence"

The new consortium project "Building Blocks of Artificial Intelligence" was launched on 12 July 2019. During the kick-off event, experts from IfU & IMA, PADS, TIME Research Area (all RWTH Aachen), Fraunhofer IPT, Fraunhofer SIT and INC Invention Center Munich met with our cross-industry consortium consisting of 15 industry partners from various industries to discuss their expectations regarding the benefits of applied AI technologies in industrial ecosystems.

Press Release: Innovation impulses through cross-industrial consortium projects

In the consortium project Printed Electronics, the BMW Group, Lohmann GmbH & Co. KG and Papierfabrik Louisenthal GmbH under the direction of KEX Knowledge Exchange AG have recently developed a prototype of a new heating concept for electric cars. Technological trends can offer potential for companies in a wide variety of industries. “An automotive OEM, a manufacturer of banknote and security papers and an expert in adhesive applications are working together to develop a possible solution for one of the central challenges of the electric car: This network aspect is what makes our consortium projects so special,” says Project Manager Frederik Klöckner.
