Digitalization, connectivity and sophisticated data analytics are major trends and jointly captured by concepts such as “Industrie 4.0” and “Internet of Things”. However, not only companies entering the digitalization domain but also companies which need to validate their existing roadmaps are often confronted with the challenge of realizing the truly relevant approaches in these areas. Typical questions that arise in this context are:

• Which implications does this hype topic have for my company, business unit and my team?
• Which technologies are needed to be competitive in the Smart Future?
• What could be beneficial smart products, production processes and services for me?

To give a detailed overview of applications and enabling technologies for smart products, production processes and services, KEX Knowledge Exchange AG and its expert network are looking for partners to join the consortium study “Facing the Smart Future: Smart Products, Production Processes & Services”. The project will start in July 2017, having a duration of one year.

Through your regular participation in the four project meetings and several workshops you will be able to influence the content and progress of the study, so that these are aligned with the individual requirements of your company. Our well known research partners Fraunhofer IPT, FIR at RWTH Aachen, Demonstration Factory Aachen, TIME, PEM and WZL will share their deep experience in the context of ‘Digitalization’ and other smart applications and leverage the pooled expertise in the consortium.
